Terms and Conditions (T&C) of Stona GmbH
Last updated: 16 November 2025
1. Scope
These Terms and Conditions apply to all purchase contracts between Stona GmbH (“Stona”) and consumers concluded via the online shop at www.iamstona.com.
A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business, or professional activity (§ 13 German Civil Code – BGB).
Stona sells exclusively to end consumers. Orders in unusually large quantities or with an identifiable commercial background may be rejected or cancelled.
Stona may also reject or cancel orders if unusual or abusive ordering patterns are detected, such as extremely large quantities, repeated problematic orders, or clearly improper use of the shop.
Deviating terms of the customer apply only if Stona has expressly agreed to them.
2. Conclusion of Contract
The product presentations in the online shop do not constitute a binding offer.
By clicking the “Pay Now” button (or a similarly worded button), the customer submits a binding offer to purchase the products in the shopping cart.
The contract is concluded once Stona accepts the offer, for example by sending a shipping confirmation email.
Information about the ordering steps, available languages, and correction options is displayed during checkout.
Stona does not accept orders from persons under the age of 18.
Stona may reject or cancel orders if there are indications of fraud or if the payment provider classifies the transaction as high risk. This includes suspicious order data, multiple failed payment attempts, or signs of abusive behaviour.
Stona may also reject or cancel orders if technical errors (e.g., obvious price errors or system errors during checkout) result in incorrect information being displayed. Any payments already made will be refunded in full.
If a product is unexpectedly unavailable (e.g., due to stock discrepancies or supply delays), Stona is entitled to cancel the order and refund any payments made.
3. Prices and Payment
All prices in the online shop are stated in euros (EUR) and include applicable German VAT.
For deliveries outside the European Union, no German VAT is charged. Local taxes, customs duties, or import fees may apply and are the responsibility of the customer.
All orders are processed in euros (EUR). Any conversion fees charged by the payment provider are outside Stona’s control.
Shipping costs are shown separately before completing the order.
The payment methods shown at checkout may vary. Stona reserves the right to adjust or limit available payment options.
Stona may cancel orders if payment is not completed successfully, if authorization is refused, or if a chargeback occurs. In such cases, there is no entitlement to delivery.
Stona may reject or cancel orders in cases of misuse of discount codes, vouchers, or other promotional benefits.
The goods remain the property of Stona until full payment has been received.
4. Delivery and Shipping
Available delivery areas, shipping options, and estimated delivery times are displayed during checkout.
Shipping is carried out by established logistics service providers. The choice of shipping provider is at Stona’s discretion.
The risk of accidental loss or damage passes to the customer only upon delivery to the customer or an authorized recipient.
If the customer grants the shipping provider a drop-off permission (“Abstellen-OK”) or similar instruction, the customer bears the risk of loss, theft, or damage from the moment the shipment is deposited as documented.
The customer is responsible for providing complete and correct delivery address details. If an error is noticed after the order confirmation, Stona should be informed immediately.
Stona may cancel orders if the address provided is incomplete, clearly incorrect, or undeliverable and no correction is made.
Manipulated or contradictory delivery instructions to the shipping provider (e.g., unauthorized third-party addresses, repeated redirections, impermissible drop-off locations) may lead to rejection or cancellation of the order. No entitlement to replacement or compensation exists in such cases.
Repeated delivery issues caused by the customer (e.g., repeated failure to collect shipments or persistently incorrect address details) may result in Stona declining future deliveries to the same address or customer.
If a shipment cannot be delivered for reasons not attributable to Stona (e.g., incorrect address, refusal of acceptance, uncollected parcels), Stona may withdraw from the contract after reasonable delivery attempts and refund the purchase price minus the actual outbound and return shipping costs incurred.
Stona does not deliver to P.O. boxes.
4.1 Transport Damage
If a shipment arrives with visible damage, Stona should be informed by the customer by email on the day of delivery.
Photos of the damaged packaging, the shipping label, and – if visible – the damaged goods help document the case properly.
As Stona is the contractual partner of the shipping provider, Stona will handle the damage claim and may require additional information from the customer.
These notes serve solely to facilitate smooth processing and do not restrict the customer’s statutory warranty rights.
5. Right of Withdrawal
5.1 Withdrawal Instructions
The customer has the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the customer or a third party designated by the customer, who is not the shipping provider, receives the goods.
Withdrawal can be made informally by email to info@iamstona.com.
To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send the withdrawal in time.
The customer may also use the attached model withdrawal form, although this is not mandatory.
5.2 Consequences of Withdrawal
After withdrawal, Stona refunds all payments minus shipping costs.
Refunds are issued no later than 14 days after the returned goods are received.
Stona may withhold the refund until the goods have arrived.
The customer bears the cost of return shipping.
If the goods have not yet been shipped, no return shipping costs apply.
5.3 Exclusion of Withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods manufactured to customer specifications or clearly personalized (§ 312g para. 2 no. 1 BGB).

6. Returns (30-Day Guarantee)
Independent of the statutory right of withdrawal, Stona offers a voluntary 30-day return guarantee starting from the day the goods are received.
To request a return, a short email to hey@iamstona.com within this period is sufficient.
Stona will then provide return instructions and the exact return address.
Returns sent without prior coordination cannot be accepted.
After approval of the return, the goods must be shipped to Stona within 14 days.
Returned goods must be unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging.
Personalized or custom-made products are excluded.
The customer bears the cost of return shipping.
Stona may offer a suitable return option; any resulting costs will be deducted from the refund.
Stona may refuse returns or deduct compensation if the goods are used, damaged, or incomplete.
Refunds are issued only after receipt and inspection of the returned goods.
Refunds are processed using the same payment method as the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.
Processing typically takes up to 14 days after receipt of the return.
This voluntary return guarantee supplements the statutory right of withdrawal and does not restrict it.
7. Retention of Title
The goods remain the property of Stona until payment has been completed in full.
8. Warranty
Statutory warranty rights under §§ 434 ff. BGB apply.
If a product is defective, the customer may request subsequent performance.
Stona decides whether this is provided via repair or replacement, provided the chosen method is reasonable.
The warranty period is two years from receipt of the goods.
Stona products are made from natural materials such as wood and glass.
Natural variations in colour, grain, and texture are material-specific and do not constitute defects.
Minor differences between individual products or compared to product images are normal due to handcrafted production.
Damage caused by improper use or care is not covered by warranty.
For long-term condition, Stona recommends following the official care instructions.
9. Accuracy of Information
Stona aims to present all information, images, and descriptions in the online shop as accurately and up to date as possible.
Nevertheless, variations in colour, structure, or appearance may occur, especially with natural materials or due to display differences.
Stona reserves the right to correct or update content at any time.
Such adjustments do not affect contracts already concluded.
10. Liability
Stona is fully liable for damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
Stona is also fully liable for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health and under the German Product Liability Act.
In cases of slight negligence involving essential contractual obligations, liability is limited to the foreseeable, contract-typical damage.
Stona is not liable for slightly negligent breaches of non-essential obligations.
These rules also apply to Stona’s legal representatives, employees, and agents.
11. Data Protection
The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy available on our website.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on this website – including images, videos, designs, texts, and other media – is protected by copyright and is either owned by Stona GmbH or licensed from third parties.
Any use, reproduction, or publication of such content requires prior authorization from the rights holder.
This applies in particular to the unauthorized use of Stona product photos, videos, design elements, or the Stona name or logo for commercial purposes.
13. External Links
This website contains links to external sites. Responsibility for their content lies solely with their operators.
At the time of linking, no unlawful content was identifiable.

14. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
Mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where the customer resides remain unaffected.

Stona is neither obliged nor willing to participate in consumer arbitration proceedings.
15. Final Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. The applicable statutory regulation shall replace the invalid clause.
These Terms are available in German and English.
The English version is provided solely for convenience and understanding.
The German version of these Terms and Conditions is the only legally binding version.
In case of any discrepancies or interpretative differences, the German version prevails.
