1. Use only light pressure. The grinder is designed to do the work for you. Apply gentle, even pressure — pressing too hard can compress your herbs instead of slicing them.
2. Check the moisture of your herbs. Herbs that are too moist won’t slice evenly in any grinder. Let them air-dry a bit before use.
3. Don’t overfill the chamber. Get to know your Stona first — start with smaller amounts to get a feel for how it moves. Believe us, Stona can handle more herbs than any traditional grinder — but overfilling slows the slicing action and takes away that effortless feel.
4. Clean occasionally. If you’ve been a little lazy with cleaning, no worries — resin buildup happens. A quick wipe with an alcohol cleaning pad brings back that smooth, effortless spin.
